Chad Farrell - Owner & Lead Technician
Born and Raised in Germantown, Ohio, it’s hard to say whether Chad was walking or wrenching first. Always tinkering on things as a child, Chad’s curiosity to learn how things work, and his desire to fix them, brought him into the garage at a young age; First into his parent’s garage to fix the old and decrepit lawnmower, and then onto building race cars with his dad, Randy. And as soon as he was legally able to, Chad was riding his bike to the local Auto Shop every day after school; working, learning, and wrenching.
With Chad’s natural desire to work hard, do the things that others couldn’t, and uncanny ability to fix things, it came as no surprise when in Fall of 2020 Chad went off on his own and started his own business. With $600 and an old Chevy pickup truck, Chad bought a rusted-out service bed, put it on a trailer, and started Farrell Diesel and Automotive. Focusing on mobile repairs, he took every job he could get his hands on, from Roadside RV repair, to flat tires, to broken down Semi’s and more, Chad was there on the side of the road, no matter what it was, and he was getting people moving again.
In less than 6 months, Chad retired that old rusty trailer and purchased his first service truck, a beat-up old ford, loaded up his tools, and kept at it, with the aspirations of one day driving a brand-new Cummins and working out of a proper shop. Armed with his relentless work ethic and his old Ford, Chad quickly made a name for himself within the community, building his customer base and his reputation for being reliable, fairly priced, and able to fix anything.
Fast forward to 2022 (less than 2 years after going out on his own) and Chad is now sitting in a 2016 Cummins service truck and working out of a 6 bay shop, with 4 full time employees. Primarily focusing on light, medium, and heavy duty Diesel Repair, Chad still runs his business the way he started it; with a motivation to get the job done, to fix the things that others can’t, and to get the customer back on the road.
